Regency is dealt to a mediator nominated by the Council in a preliminary vote or to the oldest mediator.
All the procedures are suspended until the end of the nomination. In the interim, the Regent Mediator gathers the current duties of the TAH, except for the exclusive prerogatives, reserved to legitimate Trustees. The only procedures that the regent can set up are:
The investiture vote itself;
A legitimating vote, according to the provisions contained in the Convention.
The duration of Regency is limited by the duration of the electoral mandate of the Regent Mediator, or by the final nomination of a candidate. When the Regent Mediator is also candidate, he will be replaced by another mediator in exercise, as indicated by the outgoing Regent, or by the oldest mediator.
