Cardiology

In recent years, interventional cardiology procedures have required innovation and minimally invasive techniques. This is why, over the last decade, we have sought out innovative and cutting-edge companies that enable shorter recovery times, facilitating a return to normal life while maintaining high therapeutic standards.
Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO)
Noblestitch™ EL is a percutaneous closure system for patent foramen ovale using sutures.
Three devices supplied in a single sterile kit for the release and fixation of non-absorbable 4-0 polypropylene sutures allow the PFO to be closed in three different steps:
1
Noblestitch EL 'S' positions the first suture through the secundum septum
2
Noblestitch EL 'P' positions the second suture through the primum septum
3
The 'KwiKnot™' device allows the foramen ovale to be closed by securing the suture threads with a two-part polypropylene system
The advantages of using NobleStitch™ EL are:
- No implanted metal prosthesis
- No risk of dislocation or erosion
- Does not inhibit future transseptal procedures
- Does not cause nickel allergies
- TEE and general anesthesia not required
Mitral regurgitation
CARILLON® Mitral Contour System™
Uses a percutaneous procedure to remodel the mitral annulus, reducing mitral dilation and regurgitation.
The system consists of an implantable Nitinol device designed to be placed in the coronary sinus and a delivery system. It is fully retrievable and available in different sizes compatible with the anatomy; subsequent releases are possible if a first device is removed.
CARILLON® Mitral Contour System™ is indicated for use in patients with functional mitral regurgitation (FMR).
The advantages of using the CARILLON® system are:
- Quick and simple procedure with right jugular approach
- General anesthesia not required
- No transscleral puncture
- TEE/3D not mandatory
- Does not preclude subsequent therapeutic interventions
- Anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy not essential
